Crothers Construction is proud to have successfully completed the new Cardup Career Fire and Rescue Services
Station, delivering a modern emergency services facility designed to support frontline firefighters and enhance
emergency response capabilities within the region.
The project involved the construction of a purpose-built fire station incorporating appliance bays, six dormitories,
operational support facilities, and associated firefighter infrastructure. Works included the extension of essential
services infrastructure, bulk earthworks, demolition of existing site elements, and the construction of new access
points from Doley Road and Orton Road to improve site functionality and emergency vehicle movement.
The facility features a robust structural design incorporating precast concrete wall systems, in-situ steel structures,
and architectural cladding, providing a durable and low-maintenance operational environment. External works
included extensive hardstand pavements, driveways, crossovers, landscaping interfaces, and a dedicated training
tower to support ongoing firefighter training and preparedness activities.
The completed station provides a contemporary, fit-for-purpose emergency services facility that will serve the Cardup
community and surrounding areas for many years to come.
