Crothers Construction has completed the construction of a new 38-residential bedroom aged care facility on the existing Gnullingoo Mia Residential Care site in Carnarvon. The 38-bed facility includes 2 respite bedrooms and 2 palliative care suites within the building. The resident facilities include lounges, dining rooms, sitting alcoves, store room and shared activity and meeting rooms. Staff and administrative facilities have also been constructed - including offices, reception area, staff stations, store rooms, clean and dirty utility room and other necessary infrastructure for this size of the facility. The works incorporated the demolition of an existing facility and associated services which are connected to the existing hospital site facilities. Throughout the works, the existing hospital and part of the existing aged care facility remained fully operational.
